Just opened Kinsella’s “The Undomestic Goddess” last night.   Please, higher power, don’t let me turn out so stressed.   Oh wait – its already happening.   Shit.

Post Script:  Finished it. Loved it. Fantasy and all.  I would make a wonderful domestic – so my friends say.  Cooking for people would make me happy…  Ok, I’m stepping back into reality now.  It was a nice break.

Little to report March 31, 2007

But I’m reporting nonetheless.

  • Hair is 3″ shorter and not so easy to manage.  I need a hairdryer person to assist.
  • I do not have an internship yet.  And I’ve not had any time these past 2 wks to even try to bugger people into saying yes.
  • Last night was my last shift for job #1.  Job #2 is still a pain in the ass, but the pay is good.
  • 4 of 9 assignments for end of term are done;  5 assignments to go – all of which are papers.
  • Having a potluck tonight – looking forward to it.
  • Working on a paper right now – better get back to it.

Thinking of going up to T.O. for a quick vacation.  Hard to make plans with no money and no idea what I’m doing this summer – but I think I’m going to go up anyway.  Might as well enjoy the student lifestyle while I can.  Its almost over.  A big chapter is closing.

This week in 60 seconds March 17, 2007

  • got my haircut
  • bought 50 new hair clips for $10 bucks
  • got a new cell phone – its pink
  • was demoted from my position awarded for an internship and offered an alternative project - its crappy
  • pulled some strings and have a meeting next week for another internship

Yeah, I think thats it.  Events aren’t in chronological order… but its just a summation.  Things change; doors open and close.  I’m seeing this as a chance to check out other doors which I didn’t do b/c I was waiting for the first internship to pan out.. and it did at first.  But now I learned my lesson – always have other choices up your sleeve.

Quick Thoughts March 9, 2007

One.

I talked to my mom on the phone today for 42 mins.  She said that she mentioned to Dad that today/weekend would have been a good time to come to halifax.  In this case, its not the thought that counts.  2 hrs later I realize that my parents have visited me more when I was living down in Maine, than only 3 hrs away in Halifax.

Two.

People that work at home – how often do you actually get dressed for work?

A thought just popped in my head – I’m happy when I blog.  Why?

Well, it means I have time for me, when I blog.  It means I have something to talk about.  It means I’m being socially aware that some people might be interested in me and I’m trying to reach out rather than be locked away working on something.

The book was found.. it was delivered to the wrong address… i.e. the apt above.. the one titled A… but B for basement.  Lazy delivery, really.

Still sad about the two frogged hats… but I’d rather do them right and have the correct pattern numbers than have 2 hats I’d never wear.  However, knitting season is slowly winding down, and I doubt that I will be working on any more projects… considering it takes me too long now that I’m super busy with other commitments.

I need to get my hair cut… or trimmed atleast.   And I want highlights – found the ones I want at Wallyworld.

I also realize that I’ve not been a very good foodie over the last couple of months.  First,  I have been cutting down on my inventive food production and have stuck with boring items.  But also,  it seemed I never had time to blog the items I did make that were awesome.

But, I will take the time to highlight this:  chocolate pudding cake which I found on Slashfood.   I made it for some friends… and it was absolutely f-bomb amazing.

Ok, this is my allotted blog time… now off to try changing a hem on some pants.
